Reverend Pastor Abdule R. Finner was born in Chicago where he was raised by his mother and father Ethel and Roy Finner. Accepting Christ at a young age, in 2010 Pastor Finner accepted his calling to ministerial responsibilities. At that time Pastor Finner had been under the leadership of Pastor Johnnie R. Haynie at his home church, The Garden of Prayer in Broadview, IL. Under this leadership Pastor Finner managed 5 years of ministry, including teaching Sunday school, 4 years of Marriage ministry with his wife—Juanita Finner and 2 years Preaching.

After years of gaining knowledge and wisdom at his home church, Pastor Finner saw fit to embark on a new chapter of life, at what it now his church Siloam Baptist Church. Upon his attendance to Siloam in 2012 where he was selected to carry out his calling, he became a first generation pastor. During his time as a pastor, Reverend Finner has held offices as the congress president of the South Shore Baptist District Association of Illinois as well as a member of the Kane County urban league and the NAACP. During that time he oversaw the development of a christian educated church, where the membership has grown gradually over the years.

Among many things that Pastor Finner enjoys, some of his nearest and dearest hobbies are his passion for the word of God, and teaching as well the improvement of marriage through ministry and the empowerment of men through God. He enjoys his spare time by reading self-help and improvement books, in conjunction with working with the youth. As an employee of Gateway Foundation where he holds a position as an Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor, with a Certification in Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling; Pastor Finner takes great pride in people. With a special interest in the youth of today, it is important to him that they grow, to be empowered, productive, and knowledgeable young men and women, Pastor Finner strives to fulfill the need of a positive role model for all that he encounters. He spends many hours of his days sowing seeds of encouragement into the young people that he encounters.

 As a former Marine, Pastor Finner leads by example with great leadership skills based on education and structure, it is his intent to continue the growth of a congregation built on biblical values.
